PRESS RELEASE FOR ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CONFERENCE AND ONLINE REGISTRATION
The conference on the theme « Relay for the Vulnerable Girl of Cameroon » will take place on Wednesday 28 July at La Falaise Hotel from 08:00.
As part of the activities that fill the BIFTY 2016, a conference on the theme « Relay for the Vulnerable Girl of Cameroon » is announced. This will foresee female personalities who passed through their social, professional and school education, lead strategic thinking around this theme against a panel of over 350 participants. Novelist Calixte Beyala; Journalist Denise Epoté; Prospective representatives of the Ministries of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Ministry of Social Affairs; UNDP representative in Cameroon Coordinator of the United Nations System Mrs. Najat ROCHDI; and a hand full of others. They are many who have agreed to give their time and their knowledge to this noble cause.
The objectives of this conference are so many. This will include among others :
- Call and raise national and international awareness about the importance of education in general and thet of the girl in particular;
- Create awakening of consciousness;
- Suggest viable solutions.
Educating a child is to build a nation.
